BUT: it is much easier when you manage your bank account online + there is no fee for the transaction. I transfer regulary money to my foreign account. I'm with the Bank of Ireland but I'm pretty sure it works with any Irish bank. Once you have set up the foreign account as payee -usually you request it online and they will send you a confirmation letter within a week- you can transfer money in the same way you used to do it while filling the form in you branch. it takes usually 3 days to arrive on the other side. nice blog - good luck! Some banks offer that service but these are in the minority. Same scenario - drive to your branch, stand in line, ask for a form (at least I got more than one), fill it in, queue up again, hand it in, get your copy (no one thinks about the trees).
