Right before I moved I opened up a Skype account and ordered a Berlin Area Code phone number to my account.
This way my friends, family and business partners in Germany just call this Phone Number and if they are calling from Berlin they are just being charged a local phone call.
This way they don’t have an excuse not to call you
You can get a phone number for following countries right now and you can have more than one (up to 10 which have to be purchased separately … it costs $30 a year for each number)
List of countries:
Germany, UK, Hong Kong S.A.R China, Japan Poland, Brazil, Denmark, Estonia, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, France and the US.
A +353 number is not on the list … bummer ;(

How do find the quality of the incoming calls? On ours the voice is clear, but it can take up to 10 seconds to connect (by which time the caller has hung up).
